Feed Buckets vs Mineral Buckets

Feed and Mineral buckets are a convenient way to ensure that farmers can supplement their animals with essential vitamins, minerals and trace elements. But, with so many different feed buckets and mineral buckets on the market, it is often difficult to determine which product is the best fit for your livestock.

What's the Difference?

Feed Buckets

Feed buckets are recommended where extra protein and energy is required alongside a full complement of minerals, trace elements and vitamins to supplement the overall diet. These are particularly useful at times of high energy and protein demand such as lambing, calving and lactation.

Mineral Buckets

Mineral buckets are focused on providing specific minerals and trace elements that might be lacking in the main diet. Some formulations have a wide range of nutrients to support poorer diets whilst others can be targeted for times of high demand of particular components, such as magnesium when staggers is a risk.

Our Opti-Mol range is specially formulated to match a wide range of on-farm feeding systems and are the perfect way of supplementing livestock whilst reducing labour demands.

Ideal supplementation for grazing cattle and sheep to help support target growth rates, health, fertility and aid in the prevention of animal health issues such as grass staggers, lameness and mastitis.

  • Formulated with high quality raw materials and using the most readily available sources of micro-nutrients.
